Chiseldon Sports & Social Club (referred to as “CSSC”) have an exciting opportunity for the right person to become our Bar Manager.
The Clubhouse is well-equipped with mainstream sports TV subscriptions, Pool tables, Darts, Snooker, Poker, Table Tennis and is undergoing refurbishment and upgrading of facilities to attract more members and appeal to a wider range of the local community.
The role would ideally suit someone who has previous experience of working or managing in a social club environment and for the right person this is the perfect opportunity to have a positive impact on the Club, and develop the role.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Chairman and CSSC Committee, this is a full-time, permanent position.
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day management and operation of the club’s facilities, bar and premises. Ensuring the CSSC Clubhouse is fully operational, suitably staffed and ready for everyday activities and special events, including:
● Providing a high quality of service and professional standards, maintaining a well-stocked bar, cellar management and supervision of bar and cleaning staff.
● Playing an integral part in marketing/advertising Club activities to members and the local community, developing the atmosphere of the club into one that is welcoming, dynamic and fun.
● Coordinate all Club activities, sourcing and booking appropriate entertainment and ensuring a diary for all matches (Darts, Pool, Snooker, Poker etc) is maintained.
● Working to budgets, actively seeking cost savings and looking for ways to make the most of commercial opportunities presented by the CSSC facilities.
● Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, data protection, environmental health, Health & Safety legislation and hygiene requirements.
● Responsibility for the security of the Clubhouse and grounds.
● Reporting to the CSSC Committee and attendance at meetings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
● Previous hands-on Cellar management experience.
● Demonstrable experience of managing a similar facility.
● A valid UK driving licence and your own transport.
SALARY
Will be commensurate with experience.
